Great Accommodations in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!

Arpoador Bed & Breakfast

This is photo Cod.136-11-Rio de Janeiro.jpg posted at http://www.rodolphomachado.com.br.  Thanks to them.
Inia Schoenwaelder runs a fine bed and breakfast inn on a quiet street a few blocks inland from the two main beaches in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, shown in the photo.  The location is on the fifth floor of a secure apartment building.

Arpoador was our very first stop in South America after 24 hours of travel, and it was good place to rest and be introduced to Rio!

During a three night stay, we loved the Brazilian breakfasts Inia prepared, and the personal attention provided by her.  She offered the courtesy of meeting us at the airport as we arrived from USA, and accompanying us across town by bus (or taxi, our choice) to her inn.

She speaks English (and Portuguese, of course) very well, and is knowledgeable about Rio's restaurants and attractions.

She lets guests use her computer for Internet access, which is dial-up as of November 2006.

Visit Inia's website at http://www.arpoadorbedandbreakfast.com for pictures, description, and to book a reservation.  If she has no space, she will recommend other places to try.  Or call her on the phone at +55-21-2227-6423.

(We wrote this web page because we had such a good time staying in her B&B, and wanted to give her a little gift.)
